Our Valentines Day Celebration

Every single day is like Valentines Day for me and my hubby so every day is already special for us. Last Thursday, February 13 we already had a pre-valentines lunch date and later on that evening together with our daughter and our pet Mio, we had a special dinner at home - my hubby prepared a sumptuous meal.

Before Cupid's Day, my hubby and my daughter already gave me special gifts and I truly appreciate their sweetness.

Now here's my Valentines message to the love of my life..

Daddy..

I want to grow old with you!
No matter how wrinkled your skin may become,
or your head be filled with so much grays,
I will be here with you and together we will face eternity.

Looking at our kids, I realize how far we’ve come.
We have been through a lot
And yet we are still together and stronger than ever.
Thank you for staying beside me.

You are as strong as ever.
You make things easy even if life becomes tough.
Still manages to laugh as if everything is okay.
I admire the way you inspire me to face life with so much faith and strength.
I love you for inspiring me to fight!

I love you not because of your good looks. Not even because of how much money you have. You are my love because of the real person that you are.

I love you! Happy Valentines Day Daddy!

Happy Valentines Day 2014

Happy Valentines Day to everybody. Let's fill the air with so much love. Even if you are single, you can still celebrate the hearts day with your family and friends.

Cupid's holiday can be simply celebrated by giving special gifts and remembrance to our loved ones. If you have no idea what to give them, just think of something you know they deserve.

Remember this..

Valentines is a time for love, a time to celebrate life, a time to give, a time to forgive, and a time to say a special prayer to those who loved you dearly and touched your life.

Third PreNatal Care Check-Up

Today is my third month of prenatal care check-up with my OB-Gyne. I'm pretty excited to get updated about my baby's current development and condition, and more importantly hear his/her heartbeat again through the use of a doppler.

My OB told me I'm 3 months and 3 weeks pregnant and that my due date will be on July 31, 2014 (plus/minus 2 weeks). The new vitamins prescribed to me is Iberet - Folic 500, a multi-vitamins with iron which I need to take 1 tablet each before bedtime for the next 30 days.

My OB also prescribed me to take two tablets of Calcium Caltrate Plus after having breakfast for 30 days since I told her that I often experience slight contractions in my upper legs.

And in case I continuously feel the said contractions, I should tell her the soonest possible so she can prescribed me additional vitamins with potassium.

DWCL Foundation Day 2014

Today my alma mater DWCL is celebrating its 53rd Foundation Day. The event started with a foot parade from DWCL College Quadrangle going to DWCL Gymnasium which was followed by a Holy Mass held at the gymnasium and the opening ceremony held at the grade school field.

The event will last for three days with different fun activities for all the Divinians. There are also several booths and among them is the CVR store of my good friends that sells sweet candies, delicious cupcakes, and BBQ.

Here are some of the photos I had taken this morning.

Later this evening, we're going to attend the Opening Salvo Night at the GS ground which is like a mini concert. Everybody in the family will be attending tonight's event including Mio.

Dad's 37th Bday Celebration

Yesterday we had a special family dinner in celebration of my hubby's 37th birthday. We chose to dine at Four Seasons Restaurant (one of our favorite restaurants here in Legazpi) because of their delicious food menu. It is now situated at Pacific Mall Business Center which is a bigger and more convenient location.

Here are some of the photos of us.

And here are the food we ordered.

Power Of Being A Woman

Both man and woman are precious gifts from the Lord God. But there are a lot of things that separates both sexes from each other. In reality, women are more powerful than men in terms of amazing strength and capabilities they can do. However there are also certain things that every men can be proud of themselves. Like what they say, men have incredible power within their masculinity.

Nonetheless, never ever underestimate the power of a woman, particularly the real essence of a woman.

  • Can a man bleed for a week and survived? - I can't imagine men having their monthly periods too. They would surely go crazy about it.
  • Can a man carry 3-7 pound baby in their tummy for 9 months? - Now this is the real essence of a woman, being able to bear a child.
  • Can a man take care of a child, cook, clean, and talk over the phone at the same time? - Well, there are also a number of househusbands out there but I don't think they can multitask like most women can.
  • Can a man go for a week only eating salad? - Definitely they can't but they can always try.
  • Can a man face many heartbreaks as woman and survives? - Maybe they can also face the reality of being heartbroken it's just that it's so hard for them to show what they're really feeling inside as they always want to look strong.
  • Can a man walk all day wearing 3-5 inches heels? - This made me laugh so hard. I can't imagine seeing men wearing heels too.
  • Can a man cry all night then wake up the next morning like everything is fine? - Even if they're hurt they're surely control their tears and they would pretend everything else is okay even if it is not.
These are just few of the many real power of being a woman. Because of these things, let's give every woman in this world a THUMBS UP!

California Tuna Sandwich and Mixed Vegetables with Tofu

Bigg's Diner please reserved me a seat because I'll be there this afternoon as I have been craving to eat California Tuna Sandwich, Mixed Vegetables with Tofu and Java Rice.

I'm getting so hungry already seeing these photos. It's been years since the last time I get to eat California Tuna Sandwich. I just hope Bigg's Diner still serves this sandwich.

Mixed Vegetables is definitely a healthy meal for me. I prefer java rice when eating it and how I wish there will be more tofu served with it.

Mio's Pampering Day

Mio's before and after photos during his pampering time at Albay Pet Care and Grooming Center Co.

He looks adorable and indeed very handsome with his new haircut. Plus he smells oh so good. We know he was perfectly taken care of at the grooming center. He stayed there for more than 3 hours for a full grooming service. We paid Php 500.00 for the satisfaction guaranteed service they provided to our beloved Mio. We're so sure Mio enjoyed his pampering time together with the other dogs at the center.

Back at home, here's a photo of Mio posing with his new dog shampoo and cologne.

Mio's Visit To The Vet For Check-Up

Today is Mio's schedule check-up with her vet at Albay Pet Care and Grooming Center Co. Me and my hubby will see and talk to his vet because we are too worried about his constant ear scratching, painful whining, and head shaking. We clean his ears on a regular basis and we're very careful not to let the water get inside his ears every time we give him a bath. We checked both his ears whenever he starts scratching them and we can't see any rashes or insect/s in them.

After the vet checked on Mio's ears, she said we have nothing to worry about our beloved dog because he's actually fine. No infections at all or any other life threatening condition. It's just normal for Mio to scratch his ears because of the tiny hairs growing inside them plus the long nails he used for scratching which probably irritates and hurts him and causes him to whine. The vet added that regular cleaning of Mio's ears is very much necessary in order to be rest assured that he'll not have any ear infections.

Me and my hubby felt so much relieved after finding out that Mio is perfectly okay and we have nothing to worry about him.

How To Become A Good Housewife

Let me share this inspirational content I've read from the book entitled "Did You Ever Think That". This goes out to all housewives and I hope they'll learn a lot from this post.

Happiness in the Home

To be a good housewife, one must imitate both the examples of the ant,
and that of the locust.

Over and above all, it is essential that a woman knows how to conduct and attend
to her household:  she must know how to live within the domestic walls
as if she were within a small kingdom, which must be ever made
more and more beautiful and attractive,
so that her husband will have no grounds for making dangerous comparisons
but, on the contrary, will find his complete satisfaction in it.

However, let there be no exaggerations!
For instance, at meal time do not let the defects of the housekeeper
be thetheme of conversation and the displeasing topic of the
high cost of living its conclusion.
Let all small troubles and worries be kept to herself.
She would disregard unpleasant arguments whenever it is in anyway feasible,
otherwise her husband will become annoyed,
his digestion will be impaired and he will run out of the house
still chewing the last mouthful : perhaps, in desperation,
he would even welcome the company of a locust, which,
though not as capable as ourselves, will at least allow him to talk
of politics and sport while she, in joyful and happy spirit,
confines herself to topics of music, fashion and books...
And as a consequence, their happiness would be placed in grave peril.

But it is a peril that can be easily avoided if the ant learns how to wear,
at least for a while, the wings of the locust,
and so in this way establishes perfect equilibrium on the domestic scene.

My Point of View as a Housewife for over 10 years..
  • It is indeed very important to keep our own house beautiful and attractive. Of course, who wants to live in a very messy house, it would be very uncomfortable for everybody. It doesn't mean that one needs to change the bed sheets, blankets, and pillow covers every day, or arrange all stuff at once. What's necessary is simply washing the every day dishes used by the family, arranging the pillows and blankets once everybody is already awake, sweep the floor, do some feather dusting and mopping of the floor, just the simple clean-up jobs just to make sure that the whole house is dust and clutter free. This will help in maintaining the house clean enough and it will certainly look lively and beautiful. This will satisfy the look and feel of every family member and indeed the husband will have no grounds to be mad or angry, and make comparisons in terms of the overall look of the surroundings inside the home.
  • During mealtime, it's just advisable to talk happy things in life and not about the problems of wife, husband, the kids, and even the helper and other family members. It can really loose one's appetite if during meal time someone is mad and keeps on talking about just any problem. Things can always be talked about and settled after meal time.
  • Another role a housewife is to become her husbands best friend and not only as a partner. At the same time, the husband should also do the same. Husband and wife should have time for each other like they were just boyfriend and girlfriends sharing stories, doing things they like together, and most importantly, understanding each other. But of course, having time alone is also very essential for both the husband and wife, and even the kids.
I have this post already posted in my former blog My Posh Little Ones. But since it's not updated anymore and I wanted to share this post again, I've decided to published it here on my new blog.

Mia's 1st Birthday and 1st Death Anniversary

Last January 26, 2014 we celebrated Baby Mia's 1st Birthday and at the same time her 1st Death Anniversary. We also celebrated Mio's first birthday. It's a triple celebration.

Here are the photos taken at the cemetery the afternoon we visited Baby Mia to light a candle, bring her flowers, and pray for her soul.

Oh how I miss my baby whom I never get to hold in my arms. But anyway we're happy that you're in the arms of God now. You are our most precious angel in heaven watching over us everyday of our lives. We love you and miss you so much Mia.

My Own Recipe: Adobong Sitaw

I admit I'm not good enough when it comes to cooking unlike my hubby who is indeed a good chef. However, lucky then that I know some basic cooking skills like sauteing which is actually so simple to do. Adobo is one basic dish I know how to cook. And among my favorite adobo dish recipe is Adobong Sitaw. It's not like the ordinary adobong sitaw in a sense that I prefer to include more meat than the vegetables.

Here are the ingredients I used in cooking my own recipe of Adobong Sitaw..

pork cut into my desired pieces
(string beans) sitaw cut into strips
salt and pepper to taste
garlic and onion
cooking oil
soysauce
water

The procedure for cooking Adobong Sitaw is fairly simple.

1. Heat the frying pan.
2. Put cooking oil.
3. Saute garlic and onion.
4. Add the pork and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Pour in the soysauce and water and bring to a boil.
6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
7. Simmer for 15 minutes or until the pork is tender.
8. Add the sitaw and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
9. Served hot together with steamed rice.

So that's my own recipe of Adobong Sitaw.

Totally Free and High PR Web Directories

When I first started blogging, I really didn't know that I can actually earn a lot from doing it. All I know and wanted to do is make a blog, a personal blog specifically and post whatever I want to share to my readers. After sharing my blog to others for them to visit, a friend of mine inform me that I can actually turn it into a business in a form of earning online through blog posting.

It took me quite sometime to fully understand how everything works until I've started earning more than I expected. Sadly, I already stopped earning online through my first blog because I have to work at an office and didn't have enough time to update my blog and maintain its pagerank which is very important so I can get a lot of opportunities.

Now that I've fully decided to go back to such career of working online, I am doing the best I can to create interesting posts for all my readers that will in turn give me a higher pagerank for the sake of getting a lot of work opportunities. Among the very first thing I did was to indexed my blog to blog directories.

And here are the first five High PR Web Directories where I've submitted my blog for free.

boingboing.net (Google Page Rank - 7)

a1webdirectory.org (Google Page Rank - 5)

sitepromotiondirectory.com (Google Page Rank - 7)

ananzi.co.za (Google Page Rank - 6)

blogs-collection.com (Google Page Rank - 5)
