Ways To Cure Your Sadness

Are you lonely? You shouldn't be! There are a lot of things in life you should be happy and thankful for. Stop crying and feeling so hopeless because problems are just temporary, and sure enough you'll pass through it sooner or later. Worry no more most especially if you are brokenhearted at the moment since there are certainly lots of ways you can do to cure your loneliness.

Meet and have new friends to hang out with

Remember "No Man Is An Island" so go out and get new friends for keeps who will make your life happy and gay. And the best possible way you can meet new companions is by getting out of your comfort zone by exploring and doing new things. You can easily do this by trying a new interesting hobby you'll love in the end or by simply doing different things from what you usually do.

Spend some money, treat yourself, and buy a special gift

Buying something worthy that you deserve to have which will make you happy is a good idea especially if you've been working hard enough. If you think eating your favorite food is such a good treat, then go ahead and indulge. Spend some time alone doing the things you've been wanting to and you'll definitely discover you can enjoy and be very happy even solo.

Watch good movies, listen to happy songs, and read inspirational books

If you are not ready to go out and spend some time with your surroundings, you can always choose to stay at home but still be happy. Instead of sobbing at your bed whole day, why not watch enlightening movies and read a good book. You can also listen to joyful songs while you do some necessary chores at home or as you do your favorite hobbies. If you are able to do these things, you'll forget your sorrows.

Forgive those who have hurt you

Yes it's true that forgiving someone is not an easy thing to do especially if the wounds are still fresh. However, the longer you feel mad at someone, the longer you will feel bad and lonely. Admit it to yourself, at some point in your life you've hurt someone too, you've been insensitive, inconsiderate, selfish, and needed forgiveness. But of course, time heals all wound. However, if you are a mature person, you can easily let go of something painful, forgive the persons who've hurt you, and move on with your life.

Make a list of the things you are happy and grateful for

Go get a paper and pen and take some time writing every little thing that you are thankful about your life. Appreciate all the blessings you've received. You may write thank you notes to all the people who have loved you unconditionally including those who have hurt you but taught you real life lessons.

Smile, Laugh, and Love More

The best way to be happy is to smile and laugh often. Think of happy thoughts every day as you live your life and you'll find it easy to love other people and spread the joy and thereby become peaceful and contented.

"Stop worrying about what you have to loose and start focusing on what you have to gain."

My Buko Pandan Salad Recipe

Thanks to Pinoychow.com I discovered that making Buko Pandan Salad is so easy that's why I tried preparing it but with a twist. For the past days I've been craving to eat different desserts such as Mango Graham Cake, Mango Tapioca, fruit shakes, and different flavored ice creams and cakes.

BUKO PANDAN is a favorite Filipino salad served in almost every kind of party and special occasions in the Philippines. It is made using young coconut and buko pandan flavor and aroma. At first glance, this sumptuous dessert can be mistaken for Buko Salad because of the similarity in texture and dairy ingredients used. However, the green gelatin and green nata de coco which contains the aroma and flavor of the Pandan gives the distinction. - Pinoychow.com

Here are the ingredients for Buko Pandan Salad

Nestle Cream, Green Nata de Coco, Pandan Extract, Coconut Strings,
Condensed Milk, Evaporated Milk, Brown Sugar
Unsweetened Gulaman Powder, Sago

Here's the step step procedures I've made in preparing the Buko Pandan Salad.

* when cooking the gulaman, add the evaporated milk and brown sugar to give it a bit of flavor.

* let the salad cool before placing it in the fridge.

Things A Wife Should Never Say To Her Husband

Two weeks ago I've made a post about Things A Husband Should Never Say To His Wife, and this time I will make a post regarding the Things A Wife Should Never Say to Her Husband.

Communication is one of the most important thing a husband and wife should never forget even if they're miles away form each other. A simple text message, email, or short phone call should always be made to get connected and be updated about each others whereabouts. For those couples who see each other every single day, speaking kindly to your partner at all times is necessary. Be very careful with every word you say and how you say it since communication is a little bit tricky. Of course we want to be communicated by our loved ones in a style we understand and we won't be misinterpreted. If what we are saying to our partner is said and delivered in a kind and loving way, it will surely be a lot different than we saying it in anger or retribution.

Now, to avoid problems between you and your partner, as a wife here are the things you should never tell your husband.

1. "What is wrong with you?" / "What were you thinking?" / "That's all you did?" / "You are one pathetic guy!"

Saying any of these statements to your husband in case he have done something wrong is a big insult on his part. It's like you are attacking his ego. If you feel bad that he had done something the way you don't like instead of saying those words to him, why not tell him in a good way that somehow he too will admit to himself that he indeed made something not right, should apologize, and make way to do it correctly the next time. As a wife you should be there for your husband to support him in everything he does especially those he's not really good at.

2. "You are just like your father."

This is a big No-No! Of course, no man would like to be ever compared to his father most especially if it is something on the negative side. Telling your husband those words is a way of belittling him.

3. "My mother and father always warned me you'd do this and that!"

It's generally a bad idea to include any family member in your argument with your husband. If you don't agree to whatever your partner is thinking of, you can always voice out whatever you have to say but do it in a polite way that he would feel that you are on his side to support to any decision he would make in the end. Give him enough time to decide on things you know he can handle and if not, hold your tongue and think of ways you can help him instead of making things worst between the two of you and end up hurting each others feelings.

4. "Do you think you're flattering wearing that?"

If you don't want to hear from your husband that you're fat, your husband also doesn't want to hear it from you. If you think he has gained so much weight as compared before, do not insult him especially the way he look and the way he dress up. So as not to hurt his feelings, you can always make an approach that would be in a form of pleasant and helpful suggestions.

5. "Just leave those housework and I'll do it myself!"

Do not underestimate your husband's capability when it comes to household chores. If he is willing to help you cook in the kitchen, wash the dishes, wash your clothes, sweep the floor, and anything else, let him do it. This way he would feel he is not only a good provider but can also do more than working in the office. If he's doing a task and somethings bothering you about it, do not rush to him and tell him regarding it. You should think first before any word comes out of your mouth. In case he needs your help, he would probably call you for assistance. Remember that your husband is already an adult and no longer a kid who needs to be instructed every step of the way.

6. "Are your friends joining us again?"

Your husband have long time friends before you two met each other so there's nothing wrong if he invites his friends over and hang out with them with you around. There is no rule at all that husbands and wives are required to adore each others friends and vice versa. If you don't like his set of friends, you can always tell him but do not expect he wouldn't be friends with them anymore the fact you do not like them. Maybe what you're partner will do is keep you and his friends from seeing often so as to avoid conflict. However, don't feel sad if he continues to see his peers because he also needs to enjoy his friend's company from time to time the way you spend quality bonding time with your girlfriends. It wouldn't mean he loves you less.

7. "Please watch the children and remember all the do's and don'ts."

Yes there will be several times that you'd have to leave your kids with your husband but do not underestimate your partner. He is the father of your children, he's an adult, and he knows exactly what is right and wrong. Let your husband do his job as a father and part of it is helping you raise and take good care of your sons and daughters. Give him the chance to become hands-on and involved and do not disregard his efforts or else he will emotionally disconnect with you and your kids. Give full trust to your partner that he knows how to handle your kids even if you are away. In case you will be gone for a long time, you can remind him of the most important things he shouldn't forget like the phone number of the pediatrician, how many drops or teaspoons of medicines and vitamins each of your kids should take, and others.

So there you go. I just hope you'll learn a lot from this post. Give some time reflecting on each item and evaluate yourself about how you deal with these things. Always bear in mind that in order to avoid conflict with your partner, you should at all times act like an adult, be respectful so as to be respected, be smart enough, and love your partner unconditionally.

Papa's 1st Death Anniversary

Today is my Papa's 1st Death Anniversary. Time flies so fast! I terribly miss my one and only Papa. He was gone too soon. I was always looking forward to celebrate more Christmas and more of his birthdays. Everything happened so fast.

Sadly with my current situation, I can't make it to Daet, Camarines Norte today but I'm so sure my Papa will understand. My Mama and my Kuya are already there at Daet since yesterday and they will be in charge of the celebration.

Papa wherever you are, I just want you to know that I love you and miss you so much. Thank you for visiting me often in my dreams.

Personality Test: Creative Fortune Squares

I found these personality test at Connection To Creative through Facebook. Please choose one from the 9 squares with different pattern which attracts you most and check below what it says about you.

1 – It is time for you to conquer your fears. Whatever it is that you have hesitation with, know that there is always a positive way to approach it. You are a very strong person. You just have to believe that you are, in order to get ahead. The most powerful thing that you have, is your mind.

2 – It is time for you to simply surrender to life and let the path you are traveling on unfold before you. Don’t be worried about what your next move is. Only when you worry, do you create obstacles for yourself. Let life happen. Only when you do this will you find everything you need along the life path you are walking.

3 – Right now you have to focus on your connection with nature and your connection with yourself. Focus on creating a healthy balance in your life between your work, family, personal tasks and the outdoors. Turn to nature when you are feeling lost. Nature is “creation”. Nature is home.

4 – You need to become more open minded when it comes to other people’s point of view. Not everything is black and white, nor should it be. You must make decisions based on seeing every situation from all angles. It is the only way to go about something in a fair way.

5 – It is time you worked on creating your best life! You have the power to do anything and everything, all you have to do is try. Figure out what it is that you want to feel. Do you want to feel love, health, wealth? It is not about thinking about what you want to have, it is about feeling what you want to have. When you truly feel it, it will be yours.

6 – You need to take a break from a few things. Whatever it is that has been draining you from all of your sleep, all of your energy; you need to take a break from. Let someone else take care of those things for a while. Focus on what it is that you truly want to work on. What is it that makes you feel accomplished and creative? It is important for you to have balance, yet feeling as though you are trapped into doing everything, is very unhealthy. Let someone know that you need help.

7 – It is time for you to truly listen to what your heart is telling you to do. Use your intuition. Everything is energy and therefore everything is connected. Do not doubt your inner messages. They are usually correct. There are signs all around you. Be open to receiving all of life’s messages.

8 – Life can be positive and negative, dark and light, happy and sad... It is only when you can learn from each side of the coin, that you become enriched with more positivity in your life. This is due to developing an appreciation for all of life’s situations and the lesson they teach you.

9 – You are loved. Even if you do not have anyone around you telling you, you are. You are loved by the entire universe. Energy is creation. Creation is love. Creation is YOU. When you send love out into existence, you will receive love back. Try sending love out to everyone you know. If you do not know anyone; send love out to the trees, plants, animals or people in general. You WILL receive love back.

Gift for Ordination of Priest

Few weeks ago I've received a text message from good friend of mine who was also my former office mate in COSI. It was an invitation message for his ordination this coming May 2014. Since from the day I met him, I started calling him "Father Ryan" since he is a seminarian and wants to become a priest someday.

We often text each other and send messages through Facebook to say hi and hello and update each other about our whereabouts including updates about our former office mates.

Father Ryan is such a good person with a pure heart and really deserve to become a priest and serve the Lord. I can't wait to see him being ordained and officially call him Father Ryan.

To make his ordination special, I'm thinking of giving him a memorable gift. I have here some gift idea but still can't make up my mind which one to give him.

  • Inspirational Book
  • Personalized Mug (Blessed is a Man of Faith)
  • Necktie
  • Rosary

How To Become A Good Mother To Your Children

A MOTHER is a super woman who gives birth and raise a child, and being able to bear a child is its real essence. You are lucky if you're given the chance to become a mother but remember that being a mom is not a hobby, it is a calling that comes with responsibilities. However, anybody can become a mother to any child as long as she knows what are the roles and obligations of being a MOM. For as long as you know how to love unconditionally and take good care of kids like your very own, then you are very much welcome to be a parent to them.

If you're a mother and wants to become the best mom in the world, there are a few things which you should always keep in mind in order to become a good mother to your kids.

  • Be a very supportive mom.
As a mother you actually have your own dreams for your kids. Like me, I want my daughter to become an accountant someday which is one of my frustrations in life. However when I asked her what she wants to be when she grows up, she answered with all confidence, "Mom, I want to become a judge like Wowo!" So there's nothing else I can do but give her my 100% approval and support. If that's what she dreams for herself, then I'll be at her back to support her decisions all the way until she achieves her ultimate goal.

  • Be very patient with your kids.
One challenging trait of becoming a mother is being patient with your children in all aspects. If your kids have done something wrong, do not yell at them instead be calm in solving the problem by sitting and talking with them seriously. Remember to encourage them to tell the truth at all times and not to tell a lie. If a light punishment is necessary, then give what they deserve but explain to them why you have to do something like that.

  • Set good example for your kids to follow.
Among the most important thing you should teach your child is how to tell the truth and not to lie. Teaching your kids how to be truthful is fairly easy and that should start from you as their mother. Always model telling only the truth and nothing but the truth and refrain from committing little white lies. Encourage your children to be honest at all times so they won't find themselves in big trouble.

  • Be approachable and always be ready to lend an ear to whatever your kids have to say.
Your kids have lots of stories to say and as their mother you're the first person whom they're going to run to to share whatever they have to say. This is where you should become a good listener and at the same time ever ready to share your point of view about your kids stories. Even if you're a working mother, you should always find time to talk to your children and ask them about how was their day at school so you can remain connected to them and get updated about their whereabouts.

  • Learn how to say "Sorry".
Though it may seem hard to say sorry, admitting that you've done something wrong is definitely important. And when it comes to your kids, teaching them to say "Sorry" even with the slightest fault is absolutely necessary. To make this easy for your kids, help them realize the wrong things they've done and further explain why apologizing to the person they've hurt is needed.

  • Love and treasure your kids more than anything else in this world.
Your kids are the most valuable possession you'll have in your life so treasure them forever. Once you choose to become a mother and raise a kid, you've already sacrificed a lot for them and you should continue doing it for them not only because you love them but they're the only treasure you can call your own.
