The Good And Bad Things About Being A Freelancer

What is a freelancer?

A FREELANCER is a person who works as self-employed and is not committed to a particular company or employer. A freelance worker can either work for a specific client or choose to work as an independent one. 



Today, there are a lot of people from all over the world who choose freelance work especially stay at home moms because of the advantages it has to offer. There are so many fields you can choose from if you want to try your luck in the freelancing world and that includes: blogging, copy editing, photography, event planning, computer programming, web and graphic design, website development, tour guiding, translating, video editing and production, and many more.

Now, I want to share with you some of the advantages including the disadvantages of working as a freelancer.

Advantages:

1. You get to choose your own client and get to work on the kind of job you really wanted. 

2. You have all the freedom in the world to accept or decline a job offer.

3. You can take a break and get some nap whenever you want to especially if you're working from home.

4. You may or may not choose to have health insurances.

5. If you are a workaholic person, you can have multiple source of income.

6. A lot of your family and friends thinks you're life is totally glamorous since you earn just by working from the comfort of your home.

7. You really don't have to worry about paying taxes.
Disadvantages:

1. It's your job to find an available freelance work and a good paying client.

2. You have to finish the entire job before you get paid.

3. Since you have all the time in the world, you don't prioritize finishing your freelance work until the last minute to the point you're cramming already and your client keeps on asking where's your finished work.

4. You have to undergo and pass several test and interviews from potential clients before you're finally offered with a work.

5.You have to adjust your time of working and sleeping especially if your client lives from a country that is totally the opposite of your timezone.

6. Dealing with clients can sometimes be so hard especially if you both don't agree on some ideas.
